Every year we provide an ‘Open Morning’ for parents of Junior Infants who are deciding on ‘which school’ to send their son/s. We work our allocation process for Junior Infants 18 months in advance.
The next OPEN DAY date for Junior Infants will take place on Thursday 29th January 2026 at 10.00am. This open morning will be directed at Junior Infants 2027 and is open to all parents interested in this year group.
At 10.00am, the parents will be given a tour around the school by 6th Form boys and staff members, they will end up in the Library/Hub or Hall, and our Principal Mr. McAleer will give an introduction talk at10.30am.
Cognisant of the importance of this decision, we invite parents to view the school on a ‘normal’ working day – when parents can see the reality of a typical Willow school day.
Parents are guided by ‘Staff’ and/or 6th Form pupils – so that they can ask pertinent questions. They see classes at work, hear music, visit our Library, Gymnasium, swimming pool etc.
An Open day is also held each year for prospective parents from Senior Infants – 6th Form. Due to the high volume of applicants on our waiting list, we only offer this visit to those families we feel may be in line for an offer. This open day takes place in late September prior to allocation of places.
