The 37th Annual Fr. Gavin Willow Park Rugby Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday 6th April in the grounds of Willow Park.
This annual event will see all 5th Form boys participating in a mammoth Rugby Blitz involving over 960 boys from all over the country and abroad. Not to mention the involvement of over 60 coaches, 20 referees and 80 6th Form helpers. This year we hope to see the sportsmanship shining through from all players under the guidance of Willow Games Master, Mr. Rory Crinion. Teams will arrive from early morning for registration and the Festival is scheduled for completion by 2.30pm or so.
Hot food in the form of Barilla Pasta will be served this year to all participants including all helpers. Fulfil protein bars, Fyffes bananas and Total Produce apples & mandarins will also be supplied along with Refill.ie water to help hydrate and nourish the players. Many thanks to KPMG and Deloitte for kindly sponsoring the event.
The medical tent will once again be headed up by Dr. Siún Murphy and her capable team should anyone need medical attention on the day.
The Festival always proves to be a great family day out. Tea / Coffee and treats will be
available for purchase on the day along with hot dogs and burgers for siblings. It is also hoped that we will also have a few additional stands on the marquee which may be of interest to the Willow Community.
We wish all the very best of luck to all boys and girls participating in the event this year.
Regards,
Eddie Barron,
