Our school crest is very important to the Willow Park community. In fact, it is so good, you could eat it – and you did!
In November, the organisers of the annual Fr Gavin Cake Sale and Raffle came up with the idea of using cupcakes to re-create the crest. It took 304 blue cakes and 418 white cakes to pull off this "Show Stopper". That's 722 cupcakes in total - enough for every pupil and staff member in Willow Park.
The Willow Park colours took 20 kgs of blue frosting and 27kg of white frosting. But the huge numbers don’t stop there. Parents baked or bought over 2,500 portions of cake. That included a selection of gluten free and dairy free cakes.
And the most important number of all was that €13,460.50 was raised for the St Vincent De Paul Society.
