Every year we provide an ‘Open Morning’ for parents who are deciding on ‘which school’ to send their son/s.
The next OPEN DAY date is still to be determined.
The parents will be given a tour around the School by 6th Form boys and staff members, they will end up in the Library, and our Principal Mr. Docherty will give a talk around 10.15am.
Cognisant of the importance of this decision, we invite parents to view the school on a ‘normal’ working day – when parents can see the reality of a typical Willow school day.
Parents are guided by ‘Staff’ and/or 6th Form pupils – so that they can ask pertinent questions. They see classes at work, hear music, visit our Library, Gymnasium, swimming pool etc.
- We also invite families to visit on a Saturday morning (for parents who work Monday to Friday). Although they may see our Saturday Sports’ Programme and walk around the school, they miss the vibrancy of a learning space filled with pupils and teachers.
- Specific Saturday mornings are ‘set aside’ for parents and pupils who have already decided to start the coming September. Again, our 6th Formers are central – as they explain their own experiences and perceptions of Willow Junior to incoming families. One hears the truth about ‘Willow Junior’ from ‘the horse’s mouth’!
- Of course, Parents interested in visiting Willow should ring or contact Reception or our Registrar to arrange a personal tour of the school. We are always pleased to introduce Willow to interested families.
We hope this website gives browsing parents a sense of our wonderful school, if you would like a closer look at the school before attending an open day, please view our new School Video
