This Friday 23rd October is our Halloween Costume/Jersey Day!
All our boys are invited to join in the fun by wearing a costume or sports jersey. Individual guidelines have been sent to each form by the iClass app so please check your messages!
Please bear in mind the following with regards costumes
- Please no gory or scary costumes (we are conscious of not upsetting the younger forms- if you feel it would scare Junior Infants then please do not wear it!)
- Please no props (lightsabers, swords etc) as they can be lost, broken or handed around
- Remember boys will need to be able to sit comfortably at their desks, so large or awkwardly shaped costumes are not recommended!
- There is no pressure to dress up, boys are welcome to wear a Jersey or Sports Kit if they wish.
This year all money raised by our Costume/Jersey Day for Halloween is going to Spirasi, a Spiritan Charity working with asylum seekers. We are asking for minimum donations of €2 per boy. Boys can donate by bringing €2 in cash, (which will then be quarantined until after midterm before being counted to ensure no spread of infection through the donations). We would encourage donations in cash in this instance as it will be more meaningful for the boys to feel they have made the donation themselves, however if you would prefer to donate online, we have an EPP account for charity donations which can be accessed by clicking on the EPP 'Extra Account' on the bottom of any page on our website.
More information on Spirasi can be found on their website here: https://spirasi.ie/
Happy Halloween everyone, and enjoy the Mid Term Break!
