Project 1. M4 No Wire Dryer

Jeff, Rian and Gavin's project received much interest and was featured on the RTE 6 O'Clock News. A solar powered clothes dryer that speeds up the natural drying process of clothes from the sun. The boys said they got the idea from all the rugby socks at home on the radiators.

You can listen to the boys explain their project here.

Their interview is 35.38 minutes into the news report.

Project 2. M6 "Is there such thing as a sweet tooth? the science of taste"

Andrew and William investigated whether some people are born with a sweet tooth, (the answer is No, its acquired.) The boys with the help of James ran a research survey in school, where they asked the boys from 6th Form and several teachers to choose a sample from one of the 5 taste groups and answer questions about taste and taste buds.

The boys developed their project on research and their findings. Lorenzo supported his friends at the show which was a busy day of more good tastings and answering many questions!
